Helios 3D Update 2026.0.2.1
New Version: 2026.0.2.1
DB Version: 2025.0.2.0
Date: 07/09/2026
Operating System: Windows 8, 8.1, 10, 11
AutoCAD: Autodesk Civil 3D 2021 to 2026
Important note:
Once a drawing with electrical layout gets saved with Helios 3D 2026.0.2.0 older Helios 3D versions can’t read the file anymore!
The conversion of grid definitions into components / articles forces that change.
- New: The generator of grading zones has been improved.
- New: The command for deleting fence or road objects has been added to all context menus where it was missing.
- New: Surface cross section views along the table front edge can now get generated for multiple row and all rows of a field at once and as a single block.
- New: The marker functions for analyzing table layouts (color hatching on tables) have been extended:
The minimum / maximum distance of the table to the terrain can now be analyzed specifically for the front or rear edge of the table.
Table coloring based on the minimum / maximum post length can now also consider only the front or rear row of posts. - New: The marker function for table post length can now also consider only the front or rear row of posts.
- New: The Helios 3D Layer Manager now includes new subentries for table shadows, post numbers, post information blocks, and placement start points.
- New: The visualization of shadows on modules now shows the date, time and sun angle near the direction arrow. All objects get inserted permanently with the snapshot function.
- New: The Excel exports have been extended with two post lists. The first post list replaces the old post report and takes post labels and counts into account when numbering has been customized by the user.
The second output list displays dimension chains for posts and also considers user-defined numbering. - New: In the Balancing dialog for automatic device placement, in advance inserted devices are now ignored. This allows the use of auto balancing when completing string to target device connections with after manual insertion of the first devices.
- New: In the Balancing dialog, additional devices can now be added or appended using the new toolbar buttons.
- New: Devices can now also be deleted in the Balancing dialog.
- New: In the Balancing dialog, the load factor for inverter oversizing can now be specified as a percentage. The value is automatically synchronized with the value from the electrical settings.
- New: In the Table Generator, a new post is inserted directly behind the selected post(s) now.
- New: In the Table Generator, both posts and post rows are numbered as an orientation aid.
- New: In the Table Generator, multiple posts can now be selected simultaneously and their parameters edited together with the new line also showing entries that vary for the selection.
The behavior when inserting multiple post entries has also been improved.
- Change: The generator switch for a color gradient for intervals of the analysis marker function now uses 3 values. Intervals are no longer generated using 2 colors between minimum and maximum, but from the minimum value with color A, via the ideal value with color B, to the maximum value with color C.
- Change: The surface analysis for surface triangle slope now displays the percentage of the total terrain area that falls within the selected interval. Previously, only the number of triangles was shown, regardless of whether the triangles had different sizes.
- Change: The marker function under „Analysis“ now shows 2 digits after the dot for color interval values in degrees. This ensures consistancy to degree values being displayed in other locations.
- Change: On the electric page „Structure“ you can now hide the string lines by clicking at the string text again.
- Bug: After rewiring the electrical system, the positions of the string labels were not adjusted for strings that had to be reversed.
- Bug: On the electrical page “Structure,” the string lines were not displayed for all strings when clicking on the string label.
- Bug: A combination of row start points and exclusion zones made the table placement stop in some rare cases.
- Bug: Special characters in shadow object names caused exceptions when creating layers for shading lines. Those characters are now blocked and a warning messages is displayed in case they are used.
- Bug: When the string editor was closed with another option than , the picture shown in tooltips and previews for that string was like mirrored.
- Bug: Renaming projects could result in an error stating that the new project path must not be located within the previous path, even when only extending the existing project number at the end.
- Bug: The Collada/Viewer export included objects that were assigned to the selected layers but were not present in the model view.
- Bug: Editing an article via the Component Management module or via the „…“ button in selection lists updated the article in the database but not in the drawing. This has now been corrected.
- Bug: An issue when importing KMZ/KML files has been resolved. Newer versions of KML files can now be imported.
- Bug: Replacing devices in the manual electrical design module previously worked only with central inverters. MPPT trackers can now also be replaced, provided that the new device has at least the occupied inputs of all MPPTs on the original device.
- Bug: Post label text was previously always displayed in white. Labels now use the corresponding layer color.
- Bug: The numbering dialog now retains the last-used settings. This also applies when numbering multiple fields.
- Bug: An error could occur when checking invalid table insertions if foreign objects were present on the table layer.
- Bug: The function for inserting a post above the selected post entry in the post list of the Array Generator wasn’t usable.
