The “Others” section in the Database Application groups supplementary master data modules that can be used to organize additional business-related information around a Helios 3D installation or project environment. These modules are intended for administrative reference data, such as customer records, supplier records, or selectable list values, and are not part of the main PV layout, electrical design, terrain, output, or CAD drawing workflow.
The other modules offer functions for adding and managing supplementary data, such as customer information, supplier information, and choice lists. These modules do not include any additional functionality provided by Helios 3D, and we do not plan to implement further features related to records in these modules in the near future. If you have any specific requirements regarding these aspects, please reach out to us at helios3d@stoehr-sauer.de.
Use this section when you need to maintain auxiliary information that supports project documentation or administrative project handling, but does not directly create, modify, place, calculate, or export PV planning objects in Helios 3D. The records managed here should be understood as supporting database information rather than active design objects.
Changes in these modules do not automatically generate PV arrays, module tables, strings, inverter assignments, terrain objects, drawings, reports, or export files. If a specific record is expected to influence project calculations, layouts, bills of materials, or output documents, this behavior should be verified in the related functional module.
If you need additional record types, fields, workflows, or automated behavior for customer, supplier, or choice-list data, please describe the intended use case, the affected workflow, and the expected result. This helps the support team evaluate whether the requirement belongs to the Database Application, project management, reporting, export, or another Helios 3D module.
